After twelve years of silence, the Brazilian thrash legends Violator return with “Unholy Retribution”—eight relentlessly extreme tracks that more than make up for the temporary hiatus. This third studio album channels years of frustration into crushing riffs and venomous lyrics with no compromises. Emerging revitalized from the underground scene of Brasília, the band isn’t merely staging a comeback; they are delivering a musical reckoning that transforms raw anger into a devastating sonic assault. High Roller will release the vinyl version in cooperation with Kill Again Records.
For this project, the band specifically brought Belgian producer Yarne Heylen on board. Kill Again owner Antonio Rolldão explains: “He captured the essence of the band, and the final result sounds absolutely killer.” The production strikes a perfect balance between organic brutality and surgical precision, while renowned artist Andrei Bouzikov once again created artwork that captures the album’s fierce message.
